“Contentment,” by Henriette Ronner-Knip (c. 1900)
About Erin Mistele
Erin discovered art after attending a painting class on beautiful Block Island, Rhode Island. From there, she began painting and drawing regularly. She studies portraiture and painting at the Bedminster Center for Contemporary Art, in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Erin accepts custom animal portrait commissions. She works in acrylic, oil, and charcoal from client-provided photographs. Erin strives to capture not only a subject’s likeness, but also its unique personality. Her style is traditional, inspired by great portrait masters of the past, including Albrecht Durer and Henriette Ronner-Knip, as well as contemporary artists like Juliette Aristides and Dede Gold.
